IBB Securities Sendiran Berhad was established in December 1993 and was rebranded to BIBD Securities Sdn Bhd in July 2007. BIBDS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD). BIBD, Brunei’s largest bank and flagship Islamic financial institution, was formed in 2005 through the merger of Islamic Bank of Brunei and Islamic Development Bank of Brunei.
