Monday, August 16, 2010 (4.00 pm) – Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad and its Group of Companies held an annual Bertahlil Ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum where more than 200 of its employees came to pay respect for the late Al-Marhum Sultan Hj Omar Ali Saifuddin Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and for Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.

Present at the function was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Minister of Industry and Primary Resources cum Chairman of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad and its Group of Companies. Also in attendance were YM Dato Paduka Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah, The Deputy Minister at Ministry of Finance cum BIBD’s Deputy Chairman, YM Mr.Javed Ahmad BIBD’s Acting Managing Director, BIBD’s Board of Directors, members of Shariah Advisory Body, senior officers, officers and staffs of BIBD and its group of companies.

The recital of Surah Yassin, tahlil and doa arwah was led by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Khatib Hj Hamidon bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Hj Abd Hamid.
