June 22, 2010 – Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) today held a workshop on Islamic Trade Finance for its corporate customers at Mangrove Paradise Resort in Kota Batu.

25 BIBD corporate customers attended the workshop presented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Azmi Omar, from International Islamic University Malaysia.

The workshop is part of BIBD’s corporate activities, initiated by the Corporate Banking Division with the intention to foster closer relationship with the bank’s corporate customers as well as providing them with basic knowledge in the products and services of Islamic Trade Finance.

According to Prof. Dato Dr. Mohd Azmi Omar, this workshop allows participants to understand the significance of Islamic Trade Finance operations offered by BIBD, as well as understanding of key risks in trading and how BIBD can assist in helping companies reduce the time to process and effective method of financing trade transaction.
