February 12, 2010 - Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives today handed over B$5,000 to Norhayati Abu Bakar for her team’s Trans-Africa and Trans America Expedition commemorating 25 years of Brunei Independence.

Handing over the cheque to Norhayati was Noraini Sulaiman, BIBD’s Chief Financial Officer.

The journey of the expedition will start in February and will end sometime in November or December 2010. They have been in the country throughout January 2010 giving motivation talks in various departments and schools to raise funds for their Solo Trans-Africa and Trans-America 2010 Expedition.

The hand over was held at BIBD’s Kiulap Branch.
